Hello, I'm David!
I’m a Colombian architect and sketchbook artist passionate about capturing the poetry of everyday life. For over three decades, drawing has been my way of observing the world — from the quiet corners of Ibagué, my hometown, to the vibrant streets of Barcelona, where I’m now based.
What began in the early '90s as a way to study architecture has since evolved into a lifelong practice of visual journaling. My sketchbooks are filled with ordinary objects, urban scenes, and small, intimate moments — each page a reflection of time, place, and presence.
Through projects like One Day One Drawing and my book Pen and Ink, Drawing Techniques, I’ve shared this journey with thousands of others who also find beauty in the mundane.
